I’m so excited about my new blog design! I’ve been working on it all week. I’ve decided that I just can’t manage two blogs anymore so I’m combining my teaching and personal blog into one. I hope this will bring a bit more variety to my blog as I include posts related to teaching, as well as my family and personal interests.

Watching the War Eagle/Roll Tide special on ESPN2 this morning really made me excited for football season. I can’t wait to see Sarah in her new cheerleader uniform! Only 3 more weeks… WAR EAGLE!

I’ve just finished reading Chris Powell’s Choose More, Lose More for Life. He and his wife Heidi Powell are so inspiring to me and I’m hoping that by following their Carb Cycling plan I can lose my last 15 lbs (or more!) to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

It has rained a ton this week, so I’ve missed a few of my training runs that I had planned. Only 90 days until my half-marathon… My husband and I are doing the Rock N’ Roll Half-Marathon in Savannah, GA this November. I was ready for this run 2 years ago and chose not to run since I was 8 week pregnant at the time. This time I will be ready and can’t wait to cross that finish line!

Bethany, we’d love to see you back on the ecgen.org site this year. There have been some changes in the process, but that won’t change your ability to participate in discussions. If you want to know more, I’d be glad to explain. Basically, candidates will only be doing Entry 1 and the Assessment Center this year (names have changed to Components 1 and 2). Remember how strong your desire to pay it forward when you finished the process? Would love to see you there!

    Love your blog!

Thanks Bobbie! Yes, I am most definitely planning to make my way back to the ecgen.org site this year. Last year I read for 2 candidates and it took up most of Sarah’s nap time. I’m going to email you and get the details on the new process. Would love to help pay it forward! πŸ™‚
