Sleighbells on the Square!

For those of you who don’t know… I ♥ running! Last month I completed my longest race yet… a 15k/9.3 miles! I love competing in races because it links two of my favorite things: running and giving back. Some of my favorite charities to support through running are Soles4Souls, the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, and Girls on the Run: Atlanta. Running in races is such a fun way to give to others in need!

I have recently found out about a race that benefits our own Mableton Elementary School! Ever heard of Sleighbells on the Square? Every year the Cobb County Bar Association holds a 5K race on the Marietta Square to raise money for their Community Resource Fund. This money goes to help families in Cobb County that are not able to get help in other places. Last year the Cobb County Bar Association helped 16 Floyd, Garrett, and Mableton families with over $4,400 worth of gas, power, rent, and water bills!

The race is Saturday, December 10th and has a lot of fun activities for all ages! I can’t wait to participate in this one! What a wonderful way to give back this Holiday Season!

If you would like to participate or know someone who might, click on the picture and visit the link below! Sleighbells on the Square is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier!

Thanks Lucas! I bet you could beat me! 🙂

Don’t forget you could also support Mableton Elementary directly, December 10 is the Jaguar Jingle Jog. It’s not a 5k, only 1.5 miles but a lot of fun.
